| Details | The chimeric peptide galparan powerfully stimulated insulin secretion from isolated rat pancreatic islets in a reversible and dose-dependent manner. Galparan also promoted exocytosis in depolarized B cells from normal rats as well as insulin-resistant type II diabetic Goto-Kakizaki (GK) rats. Galparan acts at a yet unknown site, different from that used by mastoparan. |
